Good news for anyone who may be looking at buying Canadian dollars or US dollars this morning as we have seen the Pound strengthen, all be it by a small amount, but still a positive movement. This seems to be on the bank of NIESR GDP estimates for December that were released yesterday, showing potentially the UK out of recession.

The cost of sending money overseas increased during the first day of 2010’s trading, and this trend has continued into this morning so far. So far today, we have seen GBPUSD exchange rates fall 0.3% and GBPCAD exchange rates fall 0.5% making buying Dollars slightly more expensive.
