Sterling exchange rates were broadly up against the Antipodean currencies today gaining 0.3% against the Kiwi Dollar. Later we have the RBNZ interest rate decision and this may cause volatility. For those with a requirement expect sterling /kiwi volatility with the Bank of England interest rate decision at 12:00 tomorrow.

The New Zealand Dollar has continued to gain strength against Sterling and has done so by 35 cents over the last six months. Strong growth in the country means at the moment it seems difficult to see Sterling recover to its previous levels.

NZD Exchange Rates

NZD exchange rates have had a strong day against the pound gaining over 1% on the day. I would expect sterling/NZD to remain volatile this week in the run up the RBNZ and Bank of England Interest Rate decisions on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
